CF6 Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) Blades and Nozzles

 

- Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements

- Providng complex manufacturing support, assuring top notch product quality, cooperating with Supply Chain and working on timely product delivery to customers 

- Material  Review Board (MRB) certified engineer in Turbine Airofils

- Providing comprehensive engineering support to field, repair and Customer Service Agreement (CSA) projects related to LPT blades and nozzles

- Lead engineering investigation of field failures, implement solutions to prevent aircraft operational events and quickly respond to fleet maintanance requests

- Extend time-on-wing (durability) by improving product design, expanding service manuals, introducing field repairs to economically extend service lives

HMax Power Turbine Design

 

Project Leader and Design Engineer of 2-stage Power Turbine for HMax engine in
Pre-conceptual and Conceptuald Design Phases of the program.

Provided state-of-the-art design conception of blades, nozzles and shrouds substantiated with appropriate stress, modal, aerodynamics, and thermogasdynamic calculations.

HF120 Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) Cost Reduction

Project Leader and Design Engineer of the largest cost reduction project on Honda engine.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Project coordination and cooperation with supportive teams: Product Definition, Heat Transfer, Clearance, Performance, Secondary Flows, Systems,

  • Reporting the progress of program to management, presenting developed design to Chief Engineering Office and participating in program reviews,

  • Development of LPT nozzles and structures,

  • Meshing, composition of Heat Transfer inputs, applying Boundary Conditions for LCF, Creep, Hot Streak analyses,

  • Meshing, applying Boundary Conditions and running 2D axisymmetric analyses of LPT structures,

  • Post-processing of analyses results (modal, HCF, LCF, thermal),

  • Stack-up and transient mission clearance analyses for LPT hardware,

  • Design for Producibility scoring of the drawings,

  • Drawing Issuing process,

  • Writing and issuing the Change In Design documents,

  • Six Sigma methodology

Low Pressure Turbine (LPT) Small Commercial Military Team

 

Leader of a team providing manufacturing,  field and repair support for LPT Airfoils, Structures, Rotating Parts of following engine lines:

  • CF34-3

  • CT7/T700

  • Passport 20

APS 2800

 

Combustor Housing design – Project Leader and Design Engineer – lightweight conception of new combustor housing for Bombardier 7000 series

 

Hardline fuel manifolds design – Project Leader, Design Engineer, Detailer – replacement of existing flexible fuel manifolds by hardline (steel) ones

 

Responsibilities:

  • conceptual design,

  • project planning and tracking,

  • materials,

  • creation of models and drawings,

  • coordination of work of designers and structural analysts,

  • reporting the progress to program management in company’s headquarters;

  • presenting the design contribution during PDR (Product Design Review) and preparing for CDR (Critical Design Review);

  • cooperation with potential suppliers;
